The Muppets co-executive producer Gregg Mettler has been tapped as showrunner on Toast, ABC's hybrid comedy pilot from Shonda Rhimes and Betsy Beers' Shondaland as well as actors and long-time friends Scott Foley and Greg Grunberg.
Written by Foley and Grunberg and directed by Gail Mancuso, Toast revolves around engaged couple Max and Paige who, over their wedding rehearsal dinner, have their eclectic family and friends give toasts recalling anecdotes about the couple…Image may be NSFW.
